‘Shocking’: Assassination attempt of Donald Trump ‘somehow not surprising’

The failed assassination attempt of former US president Donald Trump was “shocking yet somehow not surprising”, says Sky News US analyst Michael Ware.

“Given the almost boiling temperature on the divisions in this country,” he told Sky News Australia.

According to Mr Ware, Donald Trump has “vowed to continue with his role at the Republican Party Convention next week”.
