Sky News host Andrew Bolt says former US president Donald Trump's appearance at the Republican National Convention is putting to bed the media narrative of a dictator and someone ‘bent on revenge”.

“Look at Donald Trump walking in for the first time showing the public his wound from the Saturday assassination attempt on his life,” Mr Bolt said.

“The crowd at the conference cheering someone who now looks invincible.”
