Back in the late 80s early 90s there were vibes that permeated music - HipHop from NY and LA - traditional R&B - House - NewJack Swing - then there was this vibe that consisted of R&B from London, New York, and New Jersey. Artists like Soul II Soul - LISA STANSFIELD - Tara Kemp - Maxi Priest - and yes Milli Vanilli even. It HipHop influenced with R&B sensibilities - felt like jazz - and was new but not New Jack Swing. I fell like it was the bridge to the New Jacks - this is the mixtape!
