A missing woman, a beaten partner under police guard at hospital, and a body found in a nearby river.

It's the making of a true crime novel, but it's a shocking reality that residents of a St. Elizabeth community in Lacovia are trying to come to terms with this evening.

In what appears to be another case of domestic violence turned deadly, residents say the accused confessed to killing his partner and dumping her body in the Black River before police rescued him from an angry mob.
