Metro Atlanta property owners put A/C units behind bars as thieves target entire systems

Metro Atlanta property owners say thieves are increasingly targeting air-conditioning units, sometimes stripping them for valuable metals and in other cases hauling away the entire system.

The thefts can happen in a matter of minutes, leaving victims without air conditioning during the summer heat and facing thousands of dollars in replacement costs.

Atlanta homeowner Kysii Ingram saw just how quickly it can happen after checking video from his Ring camera.
