Welcome back to Living Noire and welcome to Season Two! 🖤

All thoughts shared in this video are our honest opinions. This experience was fully paid for by us, and we are not affiliated with High Noon Brunchery.

We’re kicking off a brand-new season with brunch at High Noon Brunchery, a Black-owned restaurant that recently made the move from Douglasville to Buckhead, Atlanta.

We came ready to experience the new location and tried a mix of sweet, savory and zero-proof options, including fried green tomatoes, chicken & pancakes, catfish with eggs & grits, creamy grits and two colorful mocktails.

The new space has a bold, all-pink aesthetic and definitely leans into the fun brunch experience. While some elements of the presentation and atmosphere felt less polished than we expected, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we found enough on the menu to make us curious about what we’d order on another visit.

For us, High Noon earns a Living Noire rating of: We’d Bring Mom. 🖤

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Location: Buckhead, Atlanta, GA

Vibe: Bold, colorful and lively with a playful pink brunch aesthetic

Occasion: Brunch dates, girls’ outings, birthdays and casual celebrations

What to Wear: Casual polished to brunch chic. Cute dresses, coordinated sets, heels or elevated casual looks all fit the space.

Seating & Atmosphere: Indoor seating with a bright, energetic atmosphere. The dining room has limited natural light.

Standout Dishes: Catfish, eggs & grits; fried chicken; creamy grits; strawberry guava mocktail

Reservations: High Noon is available through OpenTable, but our booking operated as a waitlist rather than a guaranteed seating time. A 15-minute grace period was noted.

Parking: Complimentary parking is available in the parking deck. The lower level may be the easier option if you’re wearing heels since some of the outdoor walking surfaces are uneven.

Drinks: During our visit, High Noon was still awaiting its alcohol license, but zero-proof drinks were available.

Good to Know: The savory dishes were the strongest part of our meal. We’d return to explore more of the menu and try some of their iced coffee options.
