A search for the lives and memories of an entire Jewish village lost in the Holocaust. (Aired 1996)

FRONTLINE travels back in time to a family shtetl with producer Marian Marzynski, who escaped the Warsaw ghetto as a child.
The remarkable three-hour documentary tells the homecoming story of two elderly Polish-American Jews who return to their families’ shtetl in Bransk, Poland, where 2,500 Jews lived before most were sent to Treblinka’s gas chambers. These two Americans are aided in their journey by a Polish Gentile, who has restored Bransk’s Jewish cemetery and researched the lives of the Jews who once lived there. The film captures these pilgrims as they face old neighbors, some who were betrayers, others who were saviors to the Jews of Bransk.

A documentary exploring the use of Ayahuasca as a holistic medicine.
PLEASE HELP SUPPORT MY WORK, buy me a coffee here: https://ko-fi.com/gavinhoffman
Ayahausca is a traditional plant medicine from the Amazon used to treat a variety of physical and psychology illnesses and conditions. This film explores the use of the Ayahausca as a holistic medicine, challenging stigmas around its use and helping people become more conscious and ethical consumers of the plant if that's the path they choose.
This documentary doesn't cover everything you need to be aware of if you are considering work with Ayahuasca. Please do your research.

Directors note: This note is to address the many comments about the obvious lack of female and indigenous representation in this documentary. I was at this retreat for my own personal development and happened to have my camera with me. Half way through the retreat I made a spontaneous decision to make this documentary during a conversation. I had never made a documentary before, I had never really thought about what goes into making a documentary and I was too caught up in my own process to really think about what I was doing at the time. I asked several people for interviews who all happened to be men and by the time I realized I hadn't asked any women it was too late. I also tried to get an interview with Don Rober but that didn't happen for several reasons. I made this documentary alone, with few resources and no budget and in the interest of getting it finished in this lifetime I went with what I had and finish the film that I had committed to make. I did my best with what I had.

Many people today believe Noah’s Ark and the Flood are just myths or some altered version of ancient beliefs. Of all the stories in the Bible, Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood is one of the most controversial. Is it all true? Did it really happen? How did it happen? And if it’s true, is there evidence of the Flood and the existence of Noah’s Ark today?
In this video, we’ll be looking at overwhelming evidence that supports the location of Noah’s Ark. We’ll also end with a faith lesson about what God would desire for us to learn from this event. I really believe this video will be life-changing and transforming to your life.
The Great Flood account is mentioned in writings, or oral traditions found all around the world. In fact, as mentioned, it’s referred to in around 200 accounts. These flood legends are common across a wide range of cultures, extending back to shortly after the flood account. These accounts depict a flood, sometimes global in scale, usually sent by a deity or deities to destroy civilization as an act of divine judgment. They are found on virtually every continent and share very similar themes. This is so because Noah’s descendants stayed together until God confused their languages at the Tower of Babel, and they scattered as found in Genesis 11.
Places of Interest at the Durupinar Site
1. Noah’s Ark National Park – Located about 17 miles or 28 km. south of Mt. Ararat, about 260 miles or 450 km. west of the Caspian Sea, and about 200 miles or 9(320 km. east of the Black Sea.
2. Noah’s Ark Location
3. Noah’s Ark Visitor Center
4. Drogue – Anchor Stones
5. Noah’s Home
6. Noah’s Altar & Corrals
7. Mountains of Ararat
8. Mount Ararat
9. Wall of Heaven Site
10. Crow Won’t Land Site
11. Village of the Eight
12. Stele
13. Ostracon
The names of the surrounding places affirm this site as Noah’s Ark location.
• Village of the Eight – This village was named after Noah and his family that God saved from the Flood. It used to be called Kazan and today is called Goller.
• Kargaconmaz – Means: The crow or bird won’t land. This refers to Noah letting birds out of the Ark to see if there was dry land.
• Ziyaret Dagi – Means: To make a voluntary pilgrimage. This likely refers to the pilgrimage of Noah and his family aboard the Ark.
• Uzengili Town – This was formerly called Mahser, which means: To be drawn out of the water or judgment day. The name Moses has the same root. In Genesis 10:30, it says regarding the descendants of Noah: Now their settlement extended from Mesha going toward Sephar, the hill country of the east. Mesha shares the same root word as Mahser.
• Mahser Location – This has the same meaning as the town of Uzengili but is the location of the area.
• Nasar – Means: To make a sacrifice. This likely refers to the sacrifices Noah made to God in worship after he and his family were saved from the Flood.
• Yigityatagi – Means: Hero’s anchorage. This refers to the place where the drogue and anchor stones came to rest in this area of the mountains of Ararat.
• Arz-zapt (Arzap) – Means: To capture the earth. In the Semitic version of Arz-zapt, which is Eretz-tsab, means: To cling to the earth. These names are linked to the place where the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. The name for this town today is Sagliksuyu and is where some drogue stones, the ruins of Noah’s house, and Noah’s altar are located.
Directed by Hasan Oswald, this award winning documentary shows a unique insight into the life of a New Jersey resident who's pregnant girlfriend must choose between a life of addiction, or seeing her unborn son.

Water is the key element of life, but new information is coming to light on the element which we thought we were so familiar with: information which could potentially reimagine our tree of life.
That is the belief shared by the advocates of a surprising theory called "water memory". For Prof. Luc Montagnier, water has the ability to reproduce the properties of any substance it once contained. Water would have the ability to retain a memory of the properties of the molecules.
What if Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, autism, HIV and even cancer could be treated thanks to this controversial theory?

Has US President Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel exacerbated the deep-rooted dispute between Israelis and Palestinians?
This report talks to people on both sides of the conflict. For them Jerusalem is more than a political disagreement. The city is their home, a place of longing for Jews, Muslims and Christians alike. Our documentary joins travel guide Schmuel Kahn, who emigrated from Switzerland to Israel, on a tour through Jerusalem's Old City, where the holiest sites of Judaism, Christianity and Islam exist side by side. Anthropologist Ali Qleibo, who is descended from an old Palestinian family, wonders how he would react if his daughter wanted to marry a Jewish man. Sarah from Hamburg, who has taken Israeli citizenship, makes a fervent appeal for a Jewish state. And musician Muhammad Mughrabi is convinced that only dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians can bring an 'end of hatred'. This is a report about borders and competing claims to ownership, but also about hope and reconciliation.

Megapolis: The Ancient World Revealed - Episode 4: Rome | Ancient History Documentary
Watch 'Megapolis - The Ancient World Revealed - Episode 1' here: https://youtu.be/hkRg0KLNobc
This film takes us on a journey to discover Rome, the greatest and most exceptional city of the ancient world. It unveils the secrets of Roman architecture and reveals the incredible talent of its builders. Using recent film footage of Rome as it is today and the ruins that are still visible, together with significant post-production work, three of the city's most iconic monuments come back to life: the Pantheon and its majestic dome, the largest in the world at the time; Emperor Nero's sumptuous palace, which occupied a quarter of the city and was full of technological innovations, such as its incredible rotating banquet hall; and the legendary Coliseum, the greatest Roman amphitheatre ever built, which used amazing feats of engineering. A model of excellence, innovations, and eternity, here is Rome, as you have never seen it before.
Athens, Alexandria, Tikal and Rome: these legendary cities are some of the world’s most famous archaeological sites. And yet, they still have not revealed all their secrets.
Built as temples of knowledge, these extraordinary cities were the beating heart of the ancient world. How did they come up to life? What was it like to live there? How did they become such centers of learning and invention?
From the 5th century BC to the Roman Empire, this compelling documentary series will bring back to life the greatest ancient cities at the height of their powers. Combining stunning CGI reconstructions with contemporary footage of the vestiges of these sites, and with the contribution of renowned experts, this series sheds a new light on these architectural treasures and lost civilizations that laid the foundations of our modern world.

Only 0.3 percent of the Earth's total water supply is suitable for human consumption. Ominously, this precious resource is beginning to shrink. Natural water reservoirs are drying up due to climate change.
Glaciologist Daniel Farinotti surveys melting glaciers in the Swiss Alps. If glaciers continue to melt at the current rate, he says, there will be no ice left by the end of the century. The disappearance of glacial meltwater would have fatal consequences.
From the heights of the Swiss Alpine glaciers, the documentary travels down to the seafloor, off the coast of Malta. Here, the crew of the German expedition ship "Sonne" wants to track down mysterious freshwater deposits in the Mediterranean. Next up is Peru where, in a bid to counteract the threat of water shortages, work is underway on projects that use ancient Incan methods.

World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Colombia & Venezuela 2016
Deadliest Roads - Argentina: https://youtu.be/UXR7D5QoZnA
It’s a no-man’s land of 2200km in height in the middle of the jungle, dominated by the Andes Mountains. The ever-uncontrollable border between Columbia and Venezuela. It’s a paradise for cartels, except here, it’s not the traffic of cocaine, but of petrol. Venezuela is the country of black gold, home to one quarter of the world’s petrol reserves. With the fall in the price of petrol, the economy has collapsed, and Venezuelans are now spread as thinly as ever. Many have been retrained in the traffic of petrol. After buying the fuel in Venezuela, they then re-sell it at thirty times the price in Columbia… Everyday they cross the border on foot, lugging 50-litre tanks on their backs. This is a high-risk form of trafficking, as on the other side of the border lies the Venezuelan military, all too ready to fire. This is the first time cameras have been able to film these smugglers of a whole new genre, and they are not given the warmest welcome…

In southern Bangladesh, silt islands along the Jamuna River regularly appear and disappear. These ‘chars‘ are populated, despite the fact that they are completely flooded during the monsoon season.
Part of the great river Brahmaputra, the Jamuna river sees the emergence and disappearance of these ‘chars’ every year. The people who live here are known as the Chauras, and they have organized their lives around rise and fall of the waters. They go about their agricultural work and live in small communities, always knowing that everything they have built up can be destroyed with the coming of the monsoon season.
The film also documents the dry season, when the river Jamuna recedes, leaving long white sand beds and new islands of fertile soil. Chaura Rahim Shorkar has plenty to do now and hopes to harvest the crops in time for the next flood.
Rahim does not want to trade his life here for one on the mainland. His wife Alea, however, takes a more critical view. What future do they have here? What future awaits their six-year-old son Ashik?
At any moment, they could face the same fate as their neighbor Shuruz Saman, who has been hit for the sixth time in his life. All his fields and land have been swallowed up by the water and once again, making a new start costs him his entire savings.
All the Chauras know this suffering. They all help each other, lending a hand when the corrugated iron walls of their houses need to be moved again because of the waters. Life here is not easy and will not get easier. On the contrary, climate change is set to intensify the extremes of the monsoon and dry seasons.

Animal Armory - Episode 4: Lethal Poison | Animal Documentary
Watch 'Animal Armory - Episode 5' here: https://youtu.be/h20IRyTy1yc
In the wild, it can take more than size, teeth and brute force to come out on top. There are some creatures in the animal kingdom that are deadly to humans and animals alike – and some are no bigger than two inches long. These are animals that use venom and poison to attack, defend and hunt. The funnel-web spider latches onto its victim and bites repeatedly, unleashing enough venom to kill an adult human in less than half an hour. The stonefish and the blue-ringed octopus both expertly blend into the sea floor, and use their deadly venom when threatened. The rattlesnake and gila monster employ toxic bites, while the scorpion uses it’s whip-like tail to deliver a stinging blow. The cane toad’s poisonous skin means they have few predators, allowing them to reach plague-like proportions. Animal Armory takes a closer look at these mighty instruments of destruction and the animals that wield them with absolute precision.

Those who attend school in the mountain village of Kumpur, walk across the mountains of the highest situated country on earth. Nearly half of Nepals lies more than 4 000 Meters above sea level. Today it's normal that the kids go to school in the valley, but just 50 years ago the village was completely self sufficient. Only if there was a lack of salt would someone twice a year hard off to refill the stock. Today the children go to the city almost on a daily basis and are immediately forced to cross the dangerous river. A village in distress is left behind. The village community Kumpur is spread across 18 farms on the Dhap Mountain. Their families live in a very remote area.
These families have lived on their land now for thousands of years herding their life-sustaining cattle without electricity, running water or contact to the outside world. Although they constantly ask themselves if the promise of an education justifies the danger of the path involved, they send their children day after day to school.
Most Dangerous Ways to School - Brazil
Most Dangerous Ways To School - Nicaragua: https://youtu.be/Sd3gvzk3fLs
In the Amazonas region of Brazil, education is a sought-after asset. To get it, children must constantly overcome an array of different challenges. It is a journey across lakes and rivers, just for one goal: School. Because this is their chance to break out of poverty and create a better life. For this, they subject themselves to a daily dose of danger. Like the ten-year-old Alice, her sister and the other schoolchildren.
Some of them must walk through the rain forest in the Amazonas region, the most biodiverse region in the world. Others need to paddle eight kilometers twice a day to get to school and back home. The Rio Negro River is the greatest challenge of all. It is the second-largest tributary in the world. And in some places, up to twenty-seven kilometres wide.
The children have to face high waves, harsh weather conditions and crocodiles in the water. While only a water canister on the back end of the canoe serves as a counterweight, and keeps the canoe balanced.
In order to get closer to their wishes and dreams, each day these children carry not only a backpack, but also the fear – on one of the world’s most dangerous ways to school.

Organized crime in The Netherlands is flourishing in tandem with the cocaine trade. A key witness is shot dead, along with his lawyer. A journalist is murdered in downtown Amsterdam. The drugs mafia earns billions and deploys increasingly brutal tactics.
For years the Dutch authorities thought they had this so-called Mocro mafia under control. But at the latest with the murder of journalist Peter R. de Vries, it has become clear that organized crime is shaking The Netherlands to its very core. "It’s a battle for power and billions. It’s about killing, to avoid being killed,” says the well-known Dutch lawyer Vito Shukrula.
Recent years have seen a dramatic rise in the amount of cocaine being smuggled through the ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg. With profits running into the billions, mafia gangs mainly operating from The Netherlands find it easy to bribe individuals at key points in the chain. For example, a crane driver at a port can earn 100,000 Euros for moving just one container to a particular position. For years now, investigators have used all the means at their disposal to expose and cut the supply lines. Several raids found weapons and huge hauls of drugs; many suspects were taken into custody.
The biggest trial in the history of The Netherlands has been going on since March 2021. In the dock at the Marengo trial: several leading members of the Mocro Mafia accused of murder. The cases highlight the extreme brutality of a criminal network that’s pushing the state to its limits. The reportage accompanies investigators going about their work at the port of Rotterdam, talks to defendants’ lawyers, meets former drugs couriers as well as the journalist Peter R. de Vries, who was later murdered. The story is one of corruption and violence.

Mega Manufacturing: Airbus A350 | 4K Engineering Documentary
Build your own Airbus A350: https://amzn.to/3LVjh2F
World's Most Advanced Supercars: Birth of the Automobile: https://youtu.be/LbD8leFCB-I
Assembled in France using millions of components made throughout Europe: The A350 is the most modern commercial aircraft in the world.
The Airbus A 350: the most modern commercial aircraft in the world. It takes 1800 highly-skilled specialists in Toulouse, France, and 2.5 million individual parts, delivered from all over the world, to assemble this masterpiece of aeronautic engineering. The goal: An aircraft with minimal consumption and maximum range. 53 percent of the Aircraft consist of a modern ultra-light composite material. But the innovative material also requires entirely new manufacturing processes. A challenge for the aircraft manufacturers in Toulouse. And the final assembly is preceded by a logistical masterpiece: The individual parts of the aircraft travel from various Airbus plants in Europe to Toulouse: the front and centre sections from Saint-Nazaire in France, the tail section from Hamburg, the wings from Broughton in Wales and Bremen, and the tail fin from Getafe in Spain. The factory in Toulouse is supplied with these parts by a specially developed transport aircraft, the Beluga. Several times a day, five of these machines commute between the various plants and bring supplies for production seven days a week from early in the morning until midnight. And the journey of the components is not over in Toulouse. By the time the A350 is fully assembled it will have passed through seven hangars or "stations." Given the extremely high number of components that have to be assembled and the large number of different suppliers, there are a lot of risk factors involved in the production of the A350. And the pressure is high: The modern aircraft is extremely popular with airlines, with 890 pending orders to date. Ten aircraft of the A350 have to leave the factory every month no matter what.
