Joséphine Baker singing "Terre sèche: Negro Spiritual". Recorded in Paris by RCA 1959. Written by A. Barroso & A. Bossy. Orchestrated by Jo Boyer.

Here is Baker singing the marvelous "Terre sèche: Negro Spiritual", taken from her 1959 revue "Paris mes amours".

Recently the french singer LamieLa covered "Terre sèche", which was included on an album that covered many of Baker's most famous chansons.

Included with the song is a rare cover of the second 45" LP originally sold in the lobby of the Olympia Theatre in Paris during the run of Baker's 1959 revue "Paris mes amours". In the photo is the legendary Buster Cooper & his quartet, who performed with Baker during "Paris mes amours".
