JourneySong & Friends, Chicago USA : The Best Of American Gospel
La Cathédrale de Chartres, 7 juillet 2002

Excerpts from JourneySong's Bio: "Dr. Willetta Greene-Johnson founded the ministry ensemble JOURNEYSONG & FRIENDS and took them to Chartres, France in July 2002 to participate in a traditional gospel music festival. The ensemble featured gospel songs, Negro spirituals, inspired poetry readings, and prophetic dance. A presentation of this type was among the first in Europe and its impact was so phenomenal that the celebrated Cathedral of Chartres was filled nearly to capacity. French National TV captured JOURNEYSONG & FRIENDS in action-reviews ranted about this ensemble. The CD project JourneySong and Friends: JOURNEY TO CHARTRES preserves what transpired, serves as an effective outreach tool, and helps defray the expenses of the not-for-profit ministry. Developing a love for Christ, a love for ministry and a press for excellence in young musicians (and at large) is at the heart of Dr. Greene-Johnson's mission. She has also arranged music for Jennifer Holiday, Queenie Lenox and Donnie McClurkin. The premiere performance of LORD YOU REIGN from her maiden project Journey to Chartres was met with ovation and has affected rapid CD sales."
