Alfred Hitchcock - The Paradine Case (1947) / full movie

The Paradine Case is a 1947 American film noir courtroom drama film, set in England, directed by Alfred Hitchcock and produced by David O. Selznick.
The screenplay was written by Selznick and an uncredited Ben Hecht, from an adaptation by Alma Reville and James Bridie of the 1933 novel of the same title by Robert Smythe Hichens.

The film stars Gregory Peck, Ann Todd, Alida Valli, Charles Laughton, Charles Coburn, Ethel Barrymore, and Louis Jourdan.

In London, Maddalena Anna Paradine (Alida Valli) is a very beautiful and enigmatic young Italian woman who is accused of poisoning her older, blind husband, a wealthy retired colonel. It is not clear whether she is a grateful and devoted wife who has been falsely charged or a calculating and ruthless femme fatale.
Mrs. Paradine's solicitor, Sir Simon Flaquer (Charles Coburn), hires Anthony Keane (Gregory Peck), a brilliant and successful barrister, to defend her in court. Although Keane has been happily married for 11 years, he instantly becomes deeply infatuated with this exotic, mysterious, and fascinating client. Keane's kind-hearted wife, Gay (Ann Todd), sees his obsession, and although he offers to relinquish the case, presses him to continue. She knows that a "guilty" verdict, followed by Mrs. Paradine's hanging, will mean that she will lose her husband emotionally forever. The only way that she can regain her husband's love and devotion is if he is able to obtain a "not guilty" verdict for Mrs. Paradine.

Professional swordsman Dave Rawlings broke down 10 sword fights in movies and TV, critiquing their realism and technique. Rawlings has over 15 years' experience teaching Western Swordsmanship. He has been featured in the documentary series "Warriors" and "Bloody Tales of the Tower." He advised the Wallace Collection on its exhibition "The Noble Art of the Sword," and he teaches longsword at the London Longsword Academy.

He also rated sword fights in "Game of Thrones," including Brienne of Tarth and Arya Stark, and Ned Stark and Jamie Lannister.
He rated the samurai-sword skill of Keanu Reeves in "47 Ronin" and Uma Thurman in "Kill Bill: Volume 1."He analyzed the principles of sword fighting in the "Die Another Day" fencing scene and the light saber fight in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

Animation requires a special kind of Foley sound: more heightened, and less bound by realism. Plus, when working on cartoons, Foley artists start from scratch with no production sound to match, which opens up a world of creative possibilities. Foley artists Sanaa Kelley and Monique Reymond showed us how they created cartoony sounds for “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Rugrats,” “Invader Zim,” “Teen Titans Go!,” “Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness,” and more.

Sanaa Kelley is the owner of Reel Foley Sound in Costa Mesa, California. She has worked on cartoons like “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius,” “Scooby-Doo,” “Lilo & Stitch: The Series,” “The Wild Thornberrys,” “¡Mucha Lucha!,” and “Clifford the Big Red Dog.”

Monique Reymond is a Foley artist based in Los Angeles. She has worked on animated films and TV shows like “SpongeBob,” “Eight Crazy Nights” (2002), “Lady and the Tramp” (2019), “Penguins of Madagascar” (2014), “Avengers Assemble,” “Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.”
